WEATHER

'Beautiful one day, perfect the next' is the catch phrase of the Queensland state government. This aptly captures the idyllic weather that Port Hinchinbrook enjoys.

Being a tropical destination, Hinchinbrook has two distinct seasons; a winter period of balmy temperatures and a summer period of warmer temperatures and tropical evening showers.

Winter begins in May and ends between October and December bringing idyllic weather, sunshine and cool seabreezes. The tropical summer extends from December to April.

Tropical downpours are common late afternoon and in the night and although slightly humid at this time of year, it has a wonderful greening effect on the landscape. Temperatures range from 18 to 32 degrees.
